Important limitations
These disclosures explain what Unclaimed Compass is, what it is not, and what users should understand before relying on a search review or pursuing a possible claim.

Unclaimed Compass is an independent assistance service. It is not a government agency, bank, insurer, employer, pension plan, claims administrator, court, law-enforcement agency, or public records authority, and it should not be understood as representing or acting on behalf of those entities.
A search request may identify useful records, possible matches, or next steps, but no guarantee is made that an unclaimed asset or benefit exists, that a record belongs to the person being researched, or that a search will produce a match.
Only the relevant holder, administrator, government authority, insurer, employer, court, or other responsible party can determine whether a person is legally entitled to a benefit and what evidence is required. Unclaimed Compass cannot approve a claim or guarantee payment.
Initial research may rely on legitimate public databases, official registries, benefit administrators, publicly available records, and information provided by the requester. Some cases may justify deeper research through legally authorized data providers, professional partners, record custodians, or other permitted channels.
Enhanced research is not a secret-database guarantee. It should be considered only where lawful, appropriate, proportionate, and supported by the necessary consent or authority.
Unclaimed Compass will not ask you to provide passwords, PINs, banking login credentials, private keys, seed phrases, authentication codes, or full payment-card information in order to begin a search review. If anyone claiming to represent the service asks for those credentials, do not provide them.
Public and third-party records may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated, or associated with people who have similar names or identifying details. A possible match should be treated as a lead that may require further verification, not as proof of ownership or entitlement.
Search procedures, privacy rules, claim deadlines, proof requirements, fees, and available records can differ by state, country, institution, and benefit type. A process that applies in one jurisdiction may not apply in another.
