Website and service terms

Terms of Use

These terms explain the conditions for using the Unclaimed Compass website and submitting information for review of a possible unclaimed benefit or asset.

Effective: August 23, 2026

1. What Unclaimed Compass does

Unclaimed Compass provides independent research-assistance and guidance intended to help people organize information, identify legitimate search sources, and understand possible next steps relating to unclaimed benefits or assets.

The service does not itself decide eligibility, approve claims, hold client funds, or control decisions made by governments, insurers, employers, banks, benefit administrators, courts, or other third parties.

2. No guaranteed result

Submitting a request does not mean that an asset exists, that a record will match, that you are legally entitled to a benefit, or that a claim will succeed. Search results and claim outcomes depend on available records, applicable law, third-party procedures, evidence, and other facts outside Unclaimed Compass's control.

3. Your responsibilities

When using the service, you agree to:

  • Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • Provide information about another person only when you have a legitimate reason or authority to do so.
  • Not submit passwords, PINs, banking logins, security codes, private keys, seed phrases, or full card details.
  • Not use the service to impersonate another person, obtain records unlawfully, or interfere with another person's rights.
  • Cooperate with reasonable identity, authority, or documentation checks where they are necessary for a legitimate search or claim process.

4. Enhanced research and third parties

Some requests may justify optional deeper research through legally authorized data providers, professional partners, record custodians, or other permitted channels. Enhanced research is not appropriate for every case and is not a promise of a hidden record or successful recovery.

If a paid or third-party service is proposed, the relevant scope, expected cost, limitations, and any additional consent should be presented before that work begins.

5. Fees

If Unclaimed Compass offers a paid service, the applicable price and material terms should be disclosed before you agree to purchase it. The website should not be interpreted as promising that any particular search, claim, or recovery will produce a financial return.

6. Information and professional advice

Information provided through the website is general research assistance and guidance. It is not legal, tax, financial, estate-planning, insurance, or other regulated professional advice. Where a matter requires professional judgment, you may need to consult an appropriately qualified adviser.

7. Availability and changes

Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued as the service develops. These terms may also be updated to reflect operational, legal, or security changes. Continued use after an update may be subject to the revised terms where permitted by applicable law.

8. Applicable law

Your rights and obligations may vary depending on your location and the jurisdiction connected to a possible benefit or asset. Nothing in these terms is intended to waive rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Before submitting

Use the intake only for legitimate search assistance and never provide passwords or financial-login credentials.
